Overview
Support the South America E&S team with environmental and social matters related to IFC Performance Standards and Sustainability Policy to promote compliance and enhance the impact of IFC-supported business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support analysis for appraising environmental and social risks and impacts against IFC Performance Standards.
- Assist in defining steps for compliance with PSs and World Bank Group Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.
- Assist in supervising client environmental and social performance through report review and site visits.
- Update information in internal systems like iDesk, iPortal, and ESG 360.
- Assist in providing training on environmental and social issues.
- Support sectoral and regional portfolio reviews.
- Collect and analyze data for reports on E&S issues and IFC’s portfolio.
- Provide administration support as required.
Required Experience
0–6 years of relevant professional experience.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, an undergraduate program in a relevant discipline such as Environment, Social, Sustainability etc. Academic background must align with the requirements outlined in the job description.
