Overview
The WBG Pioneer - Country Office Intern will support the IFC Country Officer for Germany and the Berlin Country Office team in advancing engagement priorities. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a new and entrepreneurial country office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the IFC Country Officer for Germany and Berlin Country Office team in advancing engagement priorities.
- Contribute to research and analysis on market developments, stakeholder priorities, and opportunities relevant to the office’s engagement agenda.
- Help prepare briefs, presentations, talking points, and background materials for meetings, external engagements, and visits.
- Assist with stakeholder mapping and support the preparation of materials for engagement with government counterparts, private sector stakeholders, development finance partners, and other relevant institutions.
- Support the planning, coordination, and follow-up of meetings, events, outreach activities, and visits involving the Berlin office.
- Provide research, coordination, and administrative support for the Country Officer’s work in Germany, and help support engagement efforts related to Switzerland and the Nordic countries.
- Help strengthen day-to-day collaboration across IFC, IBRD, and MIGA colleagues in the joint Berlin office.
Required Experience
Full-time professional experience is not required; relevant internships, volunteer experience, or academic projects are welcome.
Qualifications
Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, an undergraduate program.
