Overview
Internship opportunity to support the Environmental and Social (E&S) review of IFC investment business in the Middle East and Central Asia (MCA) region, promoting compliance and enhancing impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to reviewing E&S issues and risks for new IFC investment projects, with an emphasis on those in the Financial Intermediary (FI) sector.
- Support the E&S screening of new investment projects.
- Support the inputting of data and other information in the ESG360 and iPortal systems.
- Support the review of annual environmental performance reports (AEPRs) and annual monitoring reports (AMRs).
- Support in developing E&S due diligence templates for appraisal and supervision.
- Compile product wise legal clauses to be used as tip sheets for processing FI transactions.
- Support analyzing and reporting internally on portfolio data and missing information and support follow-up on pending issues.
- Prepare presentations.
Required Experience
0–6 years of relevant professional experience (banking and E&S due diligence)
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program. Academic background (environmental engineering, social specialist, economics, or similar field).
