Overview
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, acting as a focal point for administrative coordination and liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget by verifying availability of funds, obtaining necessary approval and updating budget-related information.
- Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organisational units and external parties.
- Draft status reports, identify shortfalls, escalate issues to the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
- Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries, set up and maintain files/records, and organise meetings, workshops and training sessions.
- Participate in meetings and conferences to assist in coordinating implementation activities with local authorities, partners, United Nation (UN) agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring work of Implementing Partners (IP) and report non-compliances to the supervisor.
- Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience; or High School diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), temporary accommodations, community management, or humanitarian projects.
- Experience facilitating communication between communities, authorities, and humanitarian organizations.
- Experience organizing community meetings, feedback mechanisms, and information management.
- Ability to prepare reports, meeting minutes, systematize information, and follow up on inter-agency agreements.
- Previous experience working with IOM, the United Nations, or other international humanitarian organizations, with knowledge of humanitarian principles, operational procedures, and coordination mechanisms.
- Experience contributing to the preparation of narrative and financial reports for donors, supporting donor reporting processes, calls for proposals, and project cycle management.
- Experience coordinating with implementing partners, local authorities, and community-based organizations.
- Experience using monitoring tools and information management systems, as well as knowledge of the Venezuelan context, particularly in border areas and of human mobility dynamics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or High School diploma.
