Overview
The Technical Program Manager will support the Enterprise Applications team in enabling IRC's future state IT support model through the delivery of system enhancement and integration projects, primarily within the ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the design and delivery of ServiceNow enhancements and integrations with other enterprise systems
- Coordinating release schedules
- Ensuring technical solutions are well-documented, tested, and supportable
- Using Agile methodologies to manage program workstreams, including product backlog management, sprint planning, and task management
- Acting as scrum master by educating the team on scrum, facilitating scrum events, and removing obstacles
- Working closely with solution architects, developers, and business system analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Managing cross-system dependencies
- Maintaining clear technical documentation
- Developing positive partnerships with both the technology and business user communities
- Assessing and developing strategies for achieving the needs of the user community
- Developing written reporting and presentational content
- Identifying unique solutions to address complex technical challenges
- Documenting and analyzing technical and organizational needs across multiple departments and translating them into program actions and requirements
- Managing cross-system dependencies, integration risks, and mitigation plans
- Supporting vendor and third-party integration partners
- Building and maintaining clarity in program work plans, roadmaps, status, risks, and mitigation plans
Required Experience
- 3-6 years demonstrable related work experience managing technical projects, system enhancements, and/or data/system integrations.
- Experience managing system enhancement and data integration projects
- Experience using project management software tools, such as Jira, Monday.com, and MS Azure DevOps, to effectively lead, manage, monitor, and control project activities.
- Experience working with highly technical resources, including developers, architects, and data engineers.
- Working familiarity with system integration concepts and enterprise application platforms.
- Prior global NGO experience preferred.
