Overview
Support the analysis of national DRR financing systems and contribute to the development of communication materials for the Global Observatory on DRR Financing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the analysis of national DRR financing systems by collecting and organizing information on the status of DRR financing including through using Microsoft CoPilot.
- Contribute to the development of communication materials to raise awareness of the Global Observatory on DRR Financing, including, where appropriate, infographics, short videos, presentations, and other knowledge products.
- Contribute to data visualization and the presentation of findings by preparing visual materials, such as maps, graphs, dashboards (e.g. using MS Power BI), and summary tables, to communicate information on DRR financing systems.
- Draft analytical notes, background briefs, presentations, and sections of reports summarizing findings and supporting ongoing IFRU initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc support for meetings, events, outreach, and collaborative projects, including organizing internal and external meetings, technical workshops, preparing meeting minutes, talking points, communication materials, and supporting knowledge exchange activities.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, Power Point and MS Teams.
