Overview

The Programme Analyst (Office Based) role is responsible for managing a portfolio within the Environmentally Sustainable Development Unit, providing analyses on trends, and leading the formulation, management, and evaluation of Programme activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures implementation of Programme strategies.
  • Participates in effective management of the CO programme.
  • Supports creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy.
  • Provides top quality advisory services to the Government and ensures facilitation of knowledge building and management.
  • Supports the effective management and coordination of programme planning and implementation.
Required Experience

Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national and/or international level in providing management advisory services on environmental issues and hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of sustainable development projects in Brazil, preferably in the environment and/or climate change fields.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Environment, Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of other UN language is desirable.
