Overview
The Movement Operations Assistant (Field Support) undertakes field support activities in assigned areas, such as airports or transit centers, and assists individuals with their migration journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake field support activities in assigned areas.
- Perform airport services including custodial care of travel documentation, identity verification, and assisting with airport formalities.
- Assist individuals at transit centers or third-party facilities.
- Enter and update relevant data in appropriate systems.
- Provide assistance at transit centers and third-party facilities for extended periods.
- Communicate promptly with third-party facility representatives and/or supervisors if issues arise.
- Assist in the coordination of transportation.
- Provide selection mission support, exit permit support and/or interpretation services.
- Provide regular feedback on work being accomplished and keep supervisors informed of any issues.
- Undertake duty travel as required.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of applicable SOPs, related systems and databases, and IOM Standards of Conduct.
- Maintain and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all relevant paperwork.
- Uphold RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards.
- Alert the supervisor or management of any non-compliance.
Required Experience
High school diploma with 4 years of work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 2 years of relevant work experience. Prior Movement Operations or transportation experience is strongly preferred.
