Overview

Supports IOM Mission in Uzbekistan in assisting with the implementation of return and reintegration assistance to vulnerable migrants, with a focus on survivors of trafficking.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain communication and liaison with IOM Missions and stakeholders on case-related matters.
  • Undertake case management support activities including file handling, programme access, and prescreening.
  • Assist in the management of beneficiaries' case files and related documentation.
  • Undertake beneficiaries form fill interviews and data entry.
  • Provide information support to sending IOM Missions.
  • Collect and record information relevant to identifying protection concerns and refer cases.
  • Provide pre-departure/pre-return guidance.
  • Provide arrival/reception assistance and arrange onward transportation.
  • Provide informational and practical support to beneficiaries on case management procedures.
  • Provide guidance to beneficiaries on reintegration components.
  • Assist in placement of beneficiaries in need of shelter.
  • Assist with reintegration support to beneficiaries.
  • Support the coordination of delivery of reintegration assistance.
  • Insert case management file information into MIMOSA and maintain disaggregated data.
  • Liaison with national stakeholders, IOM Offices, and partner-NGOs.
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation and finalization of M&E activities.
  • Undertake reporting activities on case management and provide updates.
  • Support awareness raising activities on the risks of irregular migration.
  • Support outreach and capacity building activities on case management.
  • Assist with the preparation and dissemination of case management related information materials.
  • Liaise with government and non-government entities in Uzbekistan to refer and assist beneficiaries.
  • Participate in meetings with the IOM Country Office and provide inputs.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals is desirable.
  • Knowledge of general related trends, processes in Uzbekistan is an asset.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation is desirable.
  • Experience in liaising with UN Agencies and/or other international organizations, government agencies and NGOs is an asset.
  • Experience supporting project implementation.
Qualifications

High school diploma or Bachelor's degree preferably in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Social Sciences, and/or other relevant field from an accredited academic institution.

Fluency in English, Uzbek (oral and written) is required.
Languages Preferred
Russian is desirable.
