Overview

Seeking a Sustainment Expert to join the OPFOR team, focusing on developing realistic adversarial effects to challenge and prepare NATO forces for modern warfare. The role involves shaping how sustainment is represented in collective training and exercises.


Key Responsibilities
  • Providing subject-matter advice in all aspects of cyberspace warfare during the creation of setting or scenario products for specific JWC- directed exercises, wargames, or other collective trainings.
  • Providing subject-matter advice in all aspects of cyberspace warfare to the respective Chief OPFOR for an exercise, wargame, or other collective training event.
  • Drafting detailed schemes of maneuvers for cyberspace actors and threat-networks based on doctrine of adversaries (in particular Russia) and on DDA assumptions.
  • Leading a team of cyberspace experts during JWC-directed exercise events according to the guidance of the respective Chief OPFOR.
  • Providing internal training to the OPFOR Branch and JWC in general.
  • Attending internal and external workshops or other individual training events related to cyberspace warfare in order to keep the knowledge up to date.
  • Establishing a liaison network with other relevant subject-matter experts (in particular in NATO Command Structure).
Required Experience

At least 3 years of experience sustainment planning in a joint environment. Demonstrated good knowledge of the adversaries’ (in particular Russian) sustainment capabilities. Knowledge of and functional experience in exercise planning or exercise production. Previous work in a red team or opposing forces team.

Qualifications

Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training in logistics planning, economics, or acquisition fields, or related discipline and 3 years function related experience, or Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related experience. University degree in logistics planning, economics, or acquisition fields, or related discipline.

75,465.00 Norwegian Krone (NOK) Monthly. Starting basic salary is NOK 75,465.00 per month (tax-free). Additional allowances may apply depending on the personal circumstances of the successful candidate.
