Overview

The European Commission is seeking a Budget Agent to support Unit C.04 in revenue operations, focusing on HR processes, document management, and administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities
  • Keep the agenda of the unit
  • Manage incoming documents and requests (functional mailbox, ARES, DECIDE, SYSPER)
  • Coordinate input for meetings
  • Ensure follow-up of Commission’s decisions within deadlines
  • Manage interservice consultations
  • Prepare presentations
  • Control the quality of any documents originating from the Unit
  • Design and maintain C4 SharePoint
  • Organise inclusive team-building and social events
  • Provide administrative support and task coordination to the Directorate when needed
Required Experience

Appropriate professional experience of at least three years if secondary education is the highest level of education attained.

Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education
Other Details
Languages Required
• Have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU • AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of the Commission rules and procedures as well as literacy in the Commission IT tools (ARES, BASIS, DECIDE, etc) is a clear advantage.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances. The European Commission applies a policy of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.
