Overview

The Donor Engagement Intern supports IRC’s funding focused engagement mainly with DG INTPA, DG MENA, and DG ECHO, collaborating closely with other teams. The role supports the development and implementation of strategies for maintaining and developing proactive and positive relationships with those donors.


Key Responsibilities

Undertake research and preparation of background analyses. Support in the preparation of briefings for discussions with institutional donors. Support in the implementation of donor strategies. Participate in relevant donor meetings and take minutes. Support in the preparation of external events with EU donors. Support the updating of internal database and internal donor tools. Support the team with updates of internal donor tools. Support in the coordination of visits of IRC staff to donor capitals.

Required Experience

Interest in working in an international NGO. Familiarity with development cooperation and humanitarian aid. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently, accurately, with an eye for detail, and in a team. Confidence in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Proactive and conscientious work approach.

French is considered as an asset.
Contract Duration
six month internship with the possibility to be renewed up to a maximum of one year
