Overview
Support the operationalization of ITU’s internal AI strategy and implementation roadmap, focusing on identifying and prioritizing AI and automation opportunities, and developing practical implementation approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operationalization of ITU’s internal AI strategy and implementation roadmap.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact AI and automation opportunities across ITU.
- Translate business needs into implementable AI and automation solutions.
- Develop practical implementation approaches, reusable patterns, and deployment models.
- Support alignment between AI initiatives, digital transformation priorities, enterprise architecture, and governance efforts.
- Design, prototype, configure, test, and deploy internal AI agents and copilots.
- Implement AI-enabled assistants supporting study group support, report drafting and summarization, knowledge retrieval and enterprise search, meeting and conference support, workflow acceleration and productivity enhancement, and “Ask ITU AI” capabilities.
- Configure prompts, workflows, orchestration logic, integrations, and automation pipelines.
- Work directly with enterprise AI platforms, copilots, low-code/no-code tools, APIs, and workflow orchestration technologies.
- Support integration of AI solutions into operational workflows and business processes.
- Identify and redesign manual workflows for automation readiness.
- Develop and implement workflow automations and productivity solutions.
- Build automation pipelines and low-code/no-code operational solutions.
- Support rapid implementation of practical productivity enhancements across business units.
- Contribute directly to configuration, testing, deployment, and adoption support.
- Contribute to practical AI governance approaches and implementation guardrails.
- Support establishment of operational standards and good practices for enterprise AI deployment.
- Assist to ensure alignment with ITU cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance requirements.
- Deliver practical AI enablement and hands-on workshops.
- Support business users and teams in adoption of AI and automation tools.
- Develop implementation guidance, toolkits, and reusable templates.
- Assist to establish AI champions and internal communities of practice.
- Coordinate closely with ISD teams, transformation initiatives, Sectors, and business divisions.
- Support agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and implementation coordination.
- Contribute to implementation tracking, reporting, and roadmap updates.
- Support engagement with strategic technology partners and innovation initiatives where required.
Required Experience
At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise digital transformation, AI implementation, automation, or innovation delivery. Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing enterprise AI and/or agentic AI solutions. Strong practical experience developing workflow automations and productivity solutions. Experience working with enterprise AI platforms, copilots, automation tools, APIs, and orchestration frameworks. Proven ability to combine strategic advisory support with technical implementation and operational delivery. Experience working in large international organizations, governments, UN agencies, or similarly complex environments are highly desirable.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Digital Transformation, or related field OR education from a reputed college of advanced education with a diploma of equivalent standard to that of an advanced university degree in one of the fields above.
