Programme Analyst (Office Based) [Open to internal and external applicants]

Overview

The Programme Analyst is responsible for managing a portfolio within the Environmentally Sustainable Development Unit, providing analyses on trends, leading programme formulation, management, and evaluation, and offering policy advice. The role involves applying solutions-oriented approaches, supervising staff, and coordinating project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures implementation of Programme strategies, including analysis and research of country situations and preparation of inputs for corporate documents.
• Participates in effective management of the CO programme, including design, formulation, and oversight of projects.
• Supports creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of resource mobilization strategy.
• Provides advisory services to the Government and facilitates knowledge building and management.
• Supports effective management and coordination of programme planning and implementation, including budget monitoring and financial forecasting.

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national and/or international level in providing management advisory services on environmental issues and hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of sustainable development projects in Brazil, preferably in the environment and/or climate change fields.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Environment, Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
