Overview
The Operations Associate - Field Support will support case management and movement operations in the field, including conducting interviews, assisting with airport formalities, and managing travel documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with new applicants and register their data.
- Perform airport services including custodial care of travel documents, verifying identities, assisting with formalities, and escorting individuals.
- Assist individuals at IOM offices or third-party facilities.
- Exchange correspondence with Embassies to request travel documents.
- Maintain contact with IOM missions, embassies, and partners.
- Contribute to monitoring vulnerable cases.
- Provide feedback on work accomplished and report issues.
- Undertake duty travel if required.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of paperwork.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields; or four years of relevant experience with a School diploma.
- Experience in collaborating with government authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience working on migration or the protection of vulnerable individuals.
- Prior experience working with international humanitarian organizations, non-governmental or governmental institutions/organizations in a multicultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution; or School diploma.
