Overview

The role involves coordinating and performing technical administration of databases and application servers, ensuring their reliable and secure operation, and steering their evolution within a specialised IT environment supporting nuclear safeguards activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and prioritise activities related to database and application server administration;
  • Ensure the availability, performance and security of systems, including backup and disaster recovery;
  • Support developers on database design, query optimisation and middleware usage;
  • Take ownership of problem management and contribute to continuous service improvement;
  • Contribute to capacity planning, technology choices and the evolution of the infrastructure.
Required Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience in database administration and IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

At least a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma.

Languages Required
A good command of English (C1) is required; have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU; AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of French (at least B1) is an asset.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances.
