Overview

This role is for an IT Project Officer within the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER) of the European Commission, focusing on IT support for Euratom activities in Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities

Leading a team for the development and maintenance of software applications used for Euratom Safeguards, and participating in the transformation of the IT landscape in line with the European Commission Digital Strategy.

Required Experience

Experience in coordinating/managing complex IT projects is considered an asset.

Qualifications

At least a level of education corresponding to completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma. Qualifications issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities will be accepted.

Languages Required

A thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU, AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties. A good command of English is required.

Contract Duration

The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances.
