Overview
The Clinic Supervisor will provide technical support and competency-based supportive supervision to partner health staff, manage the IRC capacity building team, and ensure emergency health team implementation according to standard protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinic (PHC and RH) technical and capacity building to partner(s) health staffs.
- Ensure partner’s health clinic staffs can provide quality care of primary health care services, reproductive health care services including CCSAS and long-term contraceptive provision and Integrated management of acute malnutrition services (IMAM).
- Conduct regular competency based supportive supervision and technical support to partner(s) mobile/ static clinic staffs.
- Conduct PHC package and QRH package orientation session to new medical doctors and nurses of IRC and partner staff.
- Organize and provide regular on the job training to partner(s) health staffs.
- Assist Project Manager and Capacity Building Team to identify essential technical capacity building plan for partner(s) health staffs.
- Monitor Drugs, medical supplies and commodities and RH commodities and calculate consumption forecast.
- Lead the mobile/static clinic staffs and act as Medical Doctor while the absence of Medical Doctor.
- Ensure adherence of the standard infection prevention and control of the mobile clinics.
- Helps in identifying and establishing proper health care waste management.
- Provide technical support on waste segregation process and disposal process.
- Participating in program monitoring and evaluation.
- Participate in partner(s) mobile and static mobile clinic monthly work plan.
- Monthly program narrative report to Project Manager.
- Assist Project Manager on preparation of donor, IRC in-country and HQ report as needed.
- Assist to and participate with Project Manager in coordination and relationship with health stakeholders, Health Cluster members, MOH and EHOs at township.
- Acts as project focal while the absence of project manager.
- Work closely and coordinate with IRC operation and financial staff to ensure timely and complete program activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in primary health care settings and mobile clinic activities. Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Favorable to person with experience of medical response to disaster area, surveillance, and control of communicable diseases in disaster area. Sensitivity, leadership skills and team management skills. Strong mentorship in capacity building of local partner staff. Adaptable, flexible, and mature in judgment. Good assessment, analytical, planning and reporting skills. Have ability and motivation to travel and work long continuous days in remote IDP camps/ remote villages in Northern Shan State. Good practice on MS package. Understanding of medical ethics and patient education and humanitarian principles.
Qualifications
Registered medical doctor (M.B., B.S).
