Overview
Provides technical leadership for the CRG Program, ensuring program quality and maximizing program impact in close collaboration with the program operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on child rights and advocacy, including country strategy monitoring and reporting.
- Encourage and facilitate implementation of a Strategic Learning Agenda for child rights programming.
- Work with other teams to develop funding strategies and proposals.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for synergistic, inter-sectoral programs.
- Ensure quality of SC’s child rights programming.
- Integrate learning across sectors, ensuring coherence of technical approaches.
- Develop strategies to ensure gender equity, social and disability inclusion, child participation and beneficiary accountability.
- Ensure interventions are evaluated using appropriate methods and evidence is rigorously maintained, documented and disseminated.
- Working closely with MEAL, ensure programs follow recommended MEAL practices.
- Ensure quality benchmarks are developed and used for adaptive management.
- Share experience and organizational learning.
- Attend and support coordination and information sharing meetings.
- Strengthen the capacity of CRG staff and ensure adequate technical support.
- Support CRG teams in identifying and supporting civil society partners.
- Identify key learning opportunities and proactively design and organise opportunities to share key lessons.
- Provide technical input and support to staff developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans and response programs.
- Support the identification, selection, technical capacity strengthening and monitoring of new partners in child rights.
- Ensure effective child rights technical representation on national, regional and international networks and forums.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years’ work experience on child rights and stakeholders engagements related to child rights, networking and cooperation with various partners, particularly civil society organisations.
- An in depth understanding of the child rights reporting, International and National humanitarian laws, and policies
- Experience in rights and governance programme design, proposal development, monitoring and evaluation frameworks
- Familiar with child well-being and service system strengthening, including operating environment analysis and policy engagement.
- Ability to negotiate and develop working relations among diverse and complex internal and external actors and stakeholders
- Desirable: Experience of program management in different sectors of the development field and understanding of integrating rights activities/ inter-sectoral complementarity
Qualifications
University degree in international relations or social sciences or other relevant field
