Lead the Country Office's emergency preparedness and response, providing strategic direction and technical leadership. Shape the immediate response and long-term recovery architecture for children and families affected by the earthquake.
A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience, with progressively greater management responsibilities in social planning, research, emergency and/or rehabilitation programmes at national and international levels, with significant emphasis on analysis and advice on the needs of children and women affected by emergencies is required. Demonstrated experience in supervising people is required. Experience working with cluster coordination system or extensive inter-agency coordination experience in emergencies is required. Experience working in politically sensitive environment is required.
Completed Master’s Degree or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) is required in Social Science, Public Administration, International Law, International Business Relations, Social planning, research, emergency and/or rehabilitation programmes at national and international levels, with significant emphasis on analysis and advice on the needs of children and women affected by emergencies and any other related fields. A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
