Overview
Assisting in the implementation of health assistance projects to migrants, within the Migration Health Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of health projects’ activities by compiling and maintaining records, tracking project timelines against work plans, and preparing progress reports.
- Retrieve, compile, summarise, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget by verifying availability of funds, obtaining necessary approval and updating budget-related information.
- Support administrative coordination of health projects’ implementation.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery.
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, and other forms of documentation.
- Organise meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries.
- Set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine or a related field; or four years of relevant professional experience with a High School diploma.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organisations.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organisations, non-government or government institutions/organisation in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Experience in organising events, such as training, workshops, awareness raising campaigns, etc. and producing pertaining documentation.
- Knowledge of Humanitarian Medical assistance is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of healthcare, financial and administrative management is an advantage.
- Experience in IOM administrative and financial management, budget monitoring, cash management and internal control procedures is an advantage.
- Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or High School diploma.
