Overview
The Senior Project Support Associate will support Country Offices in the implementation of project activities in the Western and Central Africa region, involving data collection, analysis, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
- Circulate information on new Calls for Proposals and maintain records.
- Provide administrative support during review and endorsement processes.
- Compile, summarize, analyze, and present project-related information/data.
- Maintain regional project pipeline and implementation tracking tools.
- Monitor project burn-rates and implementation progress.
- Draft status reports and identify shortfalls.
- Draft correspondence on project issues and prepare reports.
- Support the organization of meetings, webinars, workshops, and trainings.
- Respond to complex information requests and maintain files/records.
- Participate in meetings and conferences and maintain liaison with partners.
- Provide inputs for SOPs and concept papers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- High school diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working in an international organization or familiarity with the UN system.
- Demonstrated experience in project implementation, monitoring, reporting, and compliance functions.
- Experience in maintaining project documentation, trackers, and knowledge management tools.
- Familiarity with Results-Based Management and project cycle processes in a support of administrative capacity is an advantage.
- Experience using IOM internal systems, including PRIMA and Wave, is an advantage.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
