Overview
This position is responsible for supervising the implementation of psychosocial project activities, monitoring the quality of psychosocial group activities and individual counselling, and providing technical support to staff and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the implementation of MHPSS interventions.
- Provide regular structured supervision to MHPSS team.
- Provide expert and technical support for team staff.
- Support mainstreaming of MHPSS interventions.
- Ensure the project operates according to work plans, budget, timeline and M&E system.
- Revise and approve monthly field activities plans.
- Monitor the quality of filed activities.
- Maintain close coordination with other project teams.
- Ensure all psychological interventions are informed by current scientific evidence.
- Monitor expenditures of MHPSS interventions.
- Support mainstreaming of SCI Child Safeguarding policy.
- Make regular field visits and document them.
- Ensure ongoing professional development and management of staff.
- Ensure expenditures are within budgetary limit.
- Draft reports, case studies, and other documents.
- Regular reporting to the project manager.
- Organize and maintain project filling system.
- Ensure proper documentation of MHPSS interventions.
- Coordinate with MEAL person for project assessment activities.
- Compile quantitative and qualitative reports.
- Ensure program monitoring/learning feeds into alterations into program design.
- Collaborate actively with the MHPSS TA.
- Maintain close communication with other project officers.
- Support the project manager in coordinating relationships with donors, partners, government authorities, private sector and other actors.
- Network with other partners.
- Promote children's rights in emergencies.
- Act in a way that facilitates SCI’s response to emergencies.
- Be prepared to support SCI interventions in response to emergencies.
Required Experience
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in development/humanitarian aid; previous experience in Psychosocial support and understanding of SGBV guiding principles field is required; Previous management experience is required; Previous experience working with refugee/marginalized communities is required; preferably with previous experience working with UASC.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology; having master’s degree is preferable.
