Overview
Provide overall strategic, technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for the implementation of an anti-trafficking project. Serve as the primary liaison with key stakeholders and ensure high-quality implementation and achievement of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership, technical direction, and management oversight for all project activities.
- Ensure successful implementation of project objectives related to trafficking prevention, victim protection, justice-sector engagement, and institutional strengthening.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the U.S. Department of State TIP Office, U.S. Embassy, Government of El Salvador, consortium partners, and implementing partners.
- Lead development and implementation of annual work plans, implementation plans, MEL plans, risk management plans, and adaptive management processes.
- Ensure project implementation is technically sound, evidence-based, and aligned with donor priorities, Government of El Salvador priorities, and World Vision standards.
- Oversee project budget management, forecasting, financial compliance, and achievement of contractual deliverables.
- Promote learning, knowledge management, and dissemination of good practices throughout project implementation.
- Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary project team while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Strengthen coordination with relevant government counterparts involved in anti-trafficking, child protection, victim assistance, criminal justice, migration, and related sectors.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of high-quality technical, financial, and performance reports.
- Promote collaboration among government institutions, civil society organizations, communities, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the project in national, regional, and international technical forums related to trafficking in persons, child protection, migration, organized crime, victim protection, and institutional strengthening.
- Ensure integration of child protection, safeguarding, survivor-centered approaches, trauma-informed practices, gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion throughout project implementation.
- Support sustainability planning and institutionalization of project approaches within government and community systems.
Required Experience
- 75 years of experience
- Experience in anti-trafficking projects
- Experience in project implementation
- Experience in compliance with donor requirements
- Experience in coordination among government institutions, criminal justice actors, protection service providers, communities, civil society organizations, and other project stakeholders
- Experience in strengthening El Salvador’s anti-trafficking systems and institutional capacity
- Experience in trafficking prevention, victim protection, justice-sector engagement, and institutional strengthening
- Experience in budget management, forecasting, financial compliance, and achievement of contractual deliverables
- Experience in supervising and mentoring a multidisciplinary project team
- Experience in coordination with relevant government counterparts involved in anti-trafficking, child protection, victim assistance, criminal justice, migration, and related sectors
- Experience in representing the project in national, regional, and international technical forums related to trafficking in persons, child protection, migration, organized crime, victim protection, and institutional strengthening
