Overview

Provide expert advice and support for lunar governance and intergenerational dialogue initiatives, including organizing a lunar conference and implementing a dialogue program.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert inputs and advice including draft statements, elements for briefs, analytical notes, and other documentation.
  • Organize the 2026 UNOOSA Lunar Conference and provide a final report.
  • Develop and implement a plan for UNOOSA’s Intergenerational Dialogue on Space and provide expert support.
  • Support UNOOSA in developing and executing the One Moon For All project.
  • Provide expert advice to the Office in its role of supporting Member States in advancing deliberations in ATLAC.
  • Lead on the organization of UNOOSA’s annual Lunar Conference.
  • Support the Office with the implementation of the Intergenerational Dialogue on Space.
Required Experience

At least five (5) years working experience in the field of either space law, space diplomacy, and international relations. Multiple advanced degrees and volunteering experience in leadership positions in relevant international and non-governmental organizations may be accepted in lieu of maximum two years of working experience.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in either international space law, diplomacy, international relations, or international law. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Fluency in oral and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
