Overview

The Supply Officer will manage life support services, including contracts, budgets, and vendor performance, ensuring compliance with UN rules and regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, reviews, and manages contracts for life support services.
  • Plans and prepares cost estimates and budget implications.
  • Monitors contract implementation and vendor performance.
  • Conducts market research and reviews best practices.
  • Initiates procurement processes and maintenance.
  • Leads technical assessments and field visits.
  • Develops asset redeployment and disposal plans.
  • Ensures accurate stock and inventory records.
  • Analyzes audit findings and implements corrective actions.
  • Prepares and validates reports from SAP ERP and other tools.
  • Tracks and monitors goods in transit.
  • Prepares and reviews supply-related cases for contract committees.
  • Guides and supervises Life Support Unit personnel.
  • Ensures integration of environmental sustainability and gender-sensitive approaches.
Required Experience

A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in supply services, administration, logistics, engineering, project management, or a related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree. At least four (4) years of supervisory experience in areas of fuel, rations, and inventory warehouse management is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. A technical or vocational certificate in business administration, logistics, or another relevant field is required.
