Overview
The role supports the implementation of the 2050 Strategy through data analytics, insights, and evidence to inform decision-making, monitoring, and reporting. It strengthens data systems and enables data-driven reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Data Systems and Analytics: design, develop, and manage data systems and analytics; develop and maintain data systems, dashboards, and performance tracking tools; analyze regional data to identify trends, gaps, and emerging issues; support the development of indicators, baselines, and data collection methodologies; ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency.
- Support Reporting and Evidence Generation: deliver high-quality data analysis and insights for reporting, decision-making, and evidence-based outputs; support 2050 reporting to Forum Leaders and Ministerial meetings; prepare analytical briefs, reports, and presentations; collaborate with MEL function for quantitative analysis integration; translate complex data into accessible and actionable insights.
- Strengthen Data Coordination and Integration: enhance coordination and integration of data across regional stakeholders; support coordination of data collection and sharing; promote consistency in data standards, tools, and methodologies; identify and address data gaps and fragmentation; facilitate collaboration on data-related initiatives.
- Support Strategic Decision-Making: provide technical data and analytics support to MEL framework and Thematic Advisory Groups; provide analytical support to strategic planning and prioritisation; identify trends and risks; contribute to resource allocation discussions; support development of data-driven tools for tracking implementation progress.
- Leadership and Team Contribution: generate actionable insights and build data capability; contribute to a high-performance team culture; support knowledge sharing and learning; collaborate effectively with colleagues; support capacity building in data use and interpretation.
Required Experience
At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis, business intelligence, information management, or MEL. Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks and sector-specific experience (preferably in the region).
Qualifications
Master’s (preferred) with 5 years of experience or Bachelor’s in statistics, data science, econometrics, public health, or related fields with 7 years of experience.
