Overview
This internship program offers current students and recent graduates the opportunity to intern at LANDCOM, gaining experience in an international organization and contributing to various disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists Finance Directorate in documentation of annual budget and delegated budgets.
- Helps to prepare travel and hospitality fund related claims.
- Collects and arranges all types of budget related documentation from fund managers, past financial records, publications, etc. for budget preparation.
- Assists in the preparation of ad hoc reports for the Financial Controller.
- Assists in documenting and drafting international and support agreements.
- Assists the Financial Controller/Branch Head (Budget & Finance) in managing all disbursing activities of the HQ, including requests for funds from ACO, making collections based on collection vouchers, maintaining bank accounts, maintaining cash accounts and cash receipts, etc.
- Administers branch budget-related administrative files and documents. Assists in maintaining all budget records for audit purposes. Ensures that current and historical budget authorization documents are properly filed.
- Assists in the documentation of new procedures to facilitate and improve day-to-day budget procedures.
Required Experience
The program is open to current students or recent graduates (degree obtained within the last 18 months).
Qualifications
- A certificate given by the University stating that an internship on their subjects of study is necessary for their professional development.
- Applicants must have at least two years of successful university study or equivalent.
- Applicant must have obtained at least a university degree in a related field such as business administration, engineering or finance.
