Overview
Enhance the visibility and influence of the Start Bangladesh Hub and the broader Start Network through strategic communications, branding, and advocacy support.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing, managing, and disseminating content across digital and traditional platforms.
- Strategic communications planning, audience mapping, media relations, social media management, platform operations.
- Advocacy and influencing strategy, publication and knowledge management.
- Ensuring reports, learning documents, and case stories are effectively developed, communicated, and disseminated.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a communications function within a fast-paced environment
- Working experience in NGO or Non-Profit agencies and humanitarian contexts would be added value
- Proven ability to design professional layouts, infographics, and social media visuals using Adobe Suite or Canva and proficiency with design software (e.g., Canva Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and multimedia editing tools for content creation and production.
- Basic photo and video editing skills (e.g., Lightroom, Premiere Rush, CapCut)
- Experience to handle and manage social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn etc.) and digital platforms
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Brevo, Constant Contact)
- Strong written and verbal communication as well as editorial skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong event management and field photography skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent prioritisation and time-management skills and an ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines while delivering quality output.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications/public relations/mass communication and journalism/social science or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
