Overview
The Officer- Case Work is primarily responsible for the implementation of child protection case management activities for vulnerable and at-risk children, including unaccompanied and separated children, within the Rohingya refugee response.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification, registration, assessment, referral, direct service provision and follow-up for vulnerable and at-risk children.
- Providing alternative care support.
- Documenting information.
- Implementing case management tools and forms.
- Supporting the child/family through the case management process.
- Ensuring data protection.
- Providing daily updates to the supervisor and preparing regular reports.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience with the Child Protection Program.
- Knowledge of child rights and child protection issues in Bangladesh.
- Strong technical understanding of child protection and community-based approaches.
- Experience in providing quality case management services to children and their families.
- Experience in interviewing, data collection and reporting in terms of casework.
- Experience in providing/ facilitating training, meeting.
- Has basic knowledge of using MS Office and the internet.
- Excellent communication skills in cross-cultural contexts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as social science, anthropology or development studies or any other relevant department.
