Overview

The Communications and Digital Analyst will contribute to the development and dissemination of key communication assets and digitally enhance the visibility and impact of the office’s communication initiatives, focusing on editorial and technical back-stopping for the MPTFO Gateway website.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support efforts to promote and disseminate the Fund Administration System Plus (FAS) modality.
  • Coordinate efforts for the development of standardized project templates in the Fund Management Platform (FMP) and Fund reporting via FAS to systematize data capturing.
  • Provide technical support in identifying and articulating business requirements/specifications to enhance the digitalization of the MPTFO Gateway Integrated Platform (GWIP) including the website.
  • Support the development of an AI agent trained on fund result data and support the digital validation of results with funds.
  • Support the expansion of the existing learning GWIP toolkit for internal users and external stakeholders.
  • Support back-end functionality of comms-oriented MPTFO Gateway pages.
  • Explore options for elaborating fund results across the Gateway.
  • Support the development of data visualization methods for disseminating fund results.
  • Coordinate fund narratives, bi-monthly blog posts and practitioners’ interviews pieces.
  • Upload, maintain, update and organize related fund documents and content on MPTFO Gateway site.
  • Develop and coordinate engaging social media content for X, LinkedIn on a quarterly basis.
  • Support with editorial and administrative support on Annual Report and the Financing of the UNDS report.
  • Serve as a digital communications focal point, managing the MPTFO inbox.
  • Identify relevant partners from key pooled funds and liaise with them to cross-check and validate AI-organized results and collate inputs for the Pooled Funding Results Campaign and other visibility initiatives.
  • Maintain and optimize digital relationship management databases, tracking web traffic, and campaign analytics.
  • Conduct basic partnership analyses to support reporting and strategic outreach.
  • Identify and synthesize best practices and lessons learned directly linked to programme country goals and activities.
  • Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary.
Required Experience

Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in the area of communications, public relations, advocacy or related area is required. Desired skills: Demonstrated, hands-on experience in managing web Content Management Systems (CMS), with a strong preference and focus on Drupal. Demonstrated experience managing professional social media platforms (such as LinkedIn and X) and coordinating digital outreach initiatives. Experience in the use of software packages MS Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Visio, Planner etc). Familiarity or experience with utilizing AI tools, prompt engineering, or managing datasets for digital validation. Prior experience working within the UN system or an international development organization. Experience, knowledge or understanding of pooled funding mechanisms. Proven familiarity with the MPTFO Gateway platform or similar platforms. Experience and knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) to present fund results dynamically. Experience and knowledge of ERP systems, web-based internal management applications, and AI-enabled programmes is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, Political Sciences, or relevant Social Sciences. OR A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
