Overview
Support the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Albania for the implementation of the National Strategy on Migration and its Action Plan through technical and administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical input on migration policy implementation.
- Provide administrative and technical support for closing benchmarks for Chapter 24.
- Support coordination of initiatives related to migration, border, and return management.
- Enhance coordination and workflows for NSM implementation, review, and documentation.
- Provide technical input in policy and strategic development.
- Perform other assistance as requested.
- Prepare monthly reports on activities, accomplishments, and impediments.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience (national or international) in migration, asylum, public administration, policy development, institutional development or other related fields is preferable.
- Knowledge of EU standards and international practices regarding migration is preferable.
- Experience in engaging with local authorities and other stakeholders.
- Previous experience working with UN agencies, EU-funded projects and/or other international organizations is preferable.
- Experience in policy development, strategic planning, action plan development, migration governance, institutional development or related fields is preferable.
Qualifications
Completed advanced university degree from an accredited academic institution in Law, Public Administration, International Relations, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Communications or other related fields.
