Overview

The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be involved in the day-to-day management of dispensing pharmacy operations under the guidance of the facility in charge.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee correct dispensing of pharmaceutical commodities.
  • Receive complaints and report adverse drug reactions and poor quality medicines.
  • Ensure adequate health supplies and drugs and manage dispensing pharmacy stores.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures within the supply chain are implemented.
  • Monitor prescribing trends and alert the pharmacist of anomalies.
  • Ensure cold chain maintenance and monitoring.
  • Prepare inventory management reports, including MOH monthly reports.
  • Monitor and maintain the tracer drug list and report availability.
  • Attend departmental meetings.
  • Participate in training and mentorship programs.
  • Carry out other assignments from the supervisor.
Required Experience

Served in the grade of pharmaceutical Technologist ii for at least one year.

Qualifications
  • Kenya certificate of Education (KCSE) or an equivalent.
  • A Diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Be enrolled by the pharmacy and poisons board.
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
