Overview
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be involved in the day-to-day management of dispensing pharmacy operations under the guidance of the facility in charge.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee correct dispensing of pharmaceutical commodities.
- Receive complaints and report adverse drug reactions and poor quality medicines.
- Ensure adequate health supplies and drugs and manage dispensing pharmacy stores.
- Ensure standard operating procedures within the supply chain are implemented.
- Monitor prescribing trends and alert the pharmacist of anomalies.
- Ensure cold chain maintenance and monitoring.
- Prepare inventory management reports, including MOH monthly reports.
- Monitor and maintain the tracer drug list and report availability.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Participate in training and mentorship programs.
- Carry out other assignments from the supervisor.
Required Experience
Served in the grade of pharmaceutical Technologist ii for at least one year.
Qualifications
- Kenya certificate of Education (KCSE) or an equivalent.
- A Diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- Be enrolled by the pharmacy and poisons board.
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
