Overview
This position is assigned for MHPSS services in Northern Shan State, responsible for implementing MHPSS activities, building capacity of volunteers and community health workers, and participating in emergency responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement MHPSS activities in IDP camps and targeted villages.
- Organize and responsible for MHPSS services.
- Identify mental health and psychosocial problems.
- Provide awareness sessions and individual/group counseling.
- Facilitate and coordinate with Camp Management Committee and village leaders.
- Prepare monthly work plans.
- Coordinate with partner organizations and health departments for referral points.
- Provide MHPSS technical support to volunteers/community health workers.
- Coordinate with Mobile clinic teams to integrate MHPSS.
- Submit monthly activities and achievement reports.
- Participate in MHPSS working group meetings.
- Provide MHPSS awareness and Psychological first aid training to volunteers/community health workers.
- Coordinate with M & E responsible persons for data entry and analysis.
- Participate in MHPSS Supportive Supervision Visits and Assessment.
- Assist in preparing monthly narrative and data reports.
- Assist in preparation of donor, IRC in-country and HQ reports.
- Assist and participate in coordination and relationship with health stakeholders.
- Work closely and coordinate with IRC operation and financial staff.
Required Experience
Minimum 2-3 years related working experience in patient counselling. Demonstrated experience in MHPSS (skills and competencies). Demonstrated experience in building capacity, designing and delivering training.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in psychology/ B.N.Sc or Diploma in nursing
