KOICA YP_Communications Intern

Overview

The KOICA YP_Communications Intern will provide technical support to the Project Support Unit at the IOM Mission to the Republic of Korea, assisting in drafting, editing, and producing digital content and managing social media channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, editing, and producing digital content (social media posts, images, videos, newsletters, multimedia materials).
• Support day-to-day management of social media channels (scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, preparing analytics summaries).
• Assist in the production and dissemination of newsletters (layout preparation, content compilation, translation support, coordination).
• Support the maintenance and updating of IOM ROK’s and programme websites.
• Assist in drafting, formatting, and distributing press releases and public information materials.
• Support the production and enhancement of branding and donor-visibility materials.
• Maintain and organize digital content archives and communication materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Experience or working knowledge of using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube, and other relevant platforms).
• Experience or working knowledge of marketing communications (advertising, graphic design, or video editing) is an advantage.
• Experience using standard office software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Previous experience working in an international organization is desirable.
• Familiarity with humanitarian, development, or migration-related work is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the United Nations system and project implementation processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Content Production, Multimedia, Marketing, Business Administration, International Relations, International Development, International Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Must be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or have graduated with a university degree and commence the internship within one year of graduation.
