Overview

The role of SECONDMENT Driver - RB Nairobi is to ensure the security, condition, and maintenance of the official vehicle, and to transport the Head of Regional Bureau or Liaison office to official engagements with maximum security.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the driver to the Head of the RB or Liaison office, respecting defined itineraries.
  • Drive the Head of RB or Liaison office to scheduled professional meetings and appointments.
  • Plan routes and travel schedules, verifying traffic and driving conditions.
  • Maintain, clean, and regularly service the official vehicle.
  • Ensure the vehicle meets all legal requirements.
  • Inform the Head of RB or Liaison office of any mechanical problems and propose solutions.
  • Collect visitors from the airport and transfer them to their hotel.
  • Provide visitors with basic information regarding key services.
  • Be responsible for the security of the official vehicle at all times whilst on official duty.
  • Deliver and collect official or urgent documents.
  • Transfer RB or Liaison office personnel from one location to another.
  • Perform any other duties as instructed by the hierarchy.
Required Experience

At least 1 year of experience in the area of security and driving within a police or similar international organization is required. A longer experience (e.g. 3 to 5 years) would be an asset.

Qualifications

Driving qualifications, preferably from a police training school, to drive all categories of vehicles. A police security background or training is also required. Clean driving license.
