Overview
The Livelihood & Resilience Specialist will provide strategic technical and management support to Livelihood programming, including the food security portfolio, in Indonesia. This role oversees program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, and provides technical support in emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed implementation plans for projects aligned with food security and livelihood programmes.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation activities and need assessment surveys.
- Develop and manage food security and climate-resilient agriculture projects.
- Coordinate emergency livelihood programming during crises.
- Collect and analyze field data to produce reports for grant acquisition.
- Develop, review, and evaluate the integration of food security and climate-resilient agriculture programming.
- Provide budgeting framework for Livelihood Resilience programming interventions.
- Provide leadership in the acquisition of Livelihood Resilience programming funding.
- Focus on donor strategies, lead proposal development and prepositioning.
- Provide technical support to AP staff for Livelihood Resilience Programmes assessment, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation.
- Coordinate and facilitate Livelihoods orientation and refresher trainings.
- Facilitate capacity building of LH area programme staff.
- Contextualise relevant training and teaching materials for LH projects.
- Ensure quality implementation of Wahana Visi Indonesia Livelihoods project models.
- Ensure the integration of good practices in livelihood project activities.
- Document and submit timely financial reports, field reports, and periodic progress reports.
- Set up humanitarian accountability system for Livelihood Resilience related food security and agriculture projects.
- Responsible for the development, roll out and uptake of systems and tools to enhance quality, efficiency, effectiveness, monitoring, accountability, reporting, and risk management of social protection.
- Contribute to country and area office strategies, core competency strategies and programme policy documents.
- Coordinate integration of livelihoods project activities with other sectors’ work.
- Represent WVI in zonal or district-level economic development networks and coalitions.
- Build and maintain strong networks with stakeholders, including national governments, humanitarian agencies, private sector financial institutions, and development actors.
- Collaboratively design Livelihood Resilience Programming interventions and lead contracting arrangements.
- Engage with donors, food assistance partners, and Food Security and Livelihood (FSH) working groups.
- Facilitate communication with regional offices, support offices, and specialized programming management groups.
- Provide Christian leadership and support to enrich the organization’s life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry.
- Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings, Community of Practices and workshops.
- Submit periodical/monthly accomplishment report.
Required Experience
5-7 years' work experience in the field of livelihoods resilience and economic development. Experience working in a complex, international organisation in the NGO/international development context. Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and report writing essential.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in the fields of livelihoods, agriculture, agroforestry livestock or fishery, economic development, or a related field.
