Overview
The Administrative (HR) Assistant will support the Administration Section of the UNESCO Kabul Office, assisting with recruitment processes, payroll, and HR-related queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports hiring managers in the development and review of draft job openings.
- Assists with the review of applicants to ensure eligibility criteria are met.
- Initiates and follows up reference checks and academic verifications.
- Prepares offer of appointment.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating candidate assessments.
- Maintains electronic roster for successful applicants.
- Processes monthly payroll for staff members and SC holders.
- Tracks and adjusts monthly danger pay.
- Creates and maintains FRN for monthly dangers.
- Acts as a certifying officer in SAP.
- Conducts exit interviews and assists with separation arrangements.
- Prepares and drafts responses to HR-related queries.
- Participates in HR Working Group meetings.
- Performs other work-related duties as required.
Required Experience
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Human Resource, Administration, or operations. At least 5 years of working experience in international organizations and a diverse working environment. At least two years working experience with UN organizations in the relevant field.
Qualifications
University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
