Project Associate

Overview

Support the implementation and field-level coordination of the EU for Communities programme within the assigned Area of Responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor field activities.
• Support the implementation and follow-up of community stabilization activities.
• Identify implementation challenges, operational risks, and emerging community needs.
• Serve as the field-level focal point for programme implementation.
• Conduct outreach activities, information sessions, mobile campaigns, and beneficiary consultations.
• Respond to beneficiary enquiries and provide guidance.
• Assist in assessing beneficiary needs and provide guidance to applicants.
• Assist in reviewing business and project proposals.
• Support the delivery of business development, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building activities.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, outputs, expenditures, and field-level implementation.
• Assist in preparing regular reports, updates, statistical summaries, analytical inputs, and maintain accurate programme records.
• Support procurement, financial monitoring, visibility and communication activities.
• Perform such other relevant duties as may be assigned.

Required Experience

• Three years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree; or five years of relevant professional experience with a High School diploma.
• Experience in supporting the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of community development, community stabilization, humanitarian, or development projects.
• Experience working with local authorities, community representatives, civil society organizations, international organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Experience conducting field visits, beneficiary consultations, community outreach, awareness-raising, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Experience assessing community or beneficiary needs and supporting the design and implementation of project interventions.
• Experience in project monitoring, data collection, reporting, and maintaining programme records and databases.
• Experience supporting livelihood, entrepreneurship, small business development, or economic empowerment initiatives is an advantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, International Relations, Development Studies, Community Development, Project Management, Economics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or High School diploma.
