Overview
The European Commission Representation in Greece is seeking an Information and Communication Agent – Digital Leader to manage social media, maintain the Representation's website, and support press and media relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Press & Media activities.
- Participate in collecting information for press reviews.
- Support the organisation of media aspects of visits by Commissioners and high-level officials.
- Assist in the organisation of press points, conferences, interviews, and technical briefings.
- Assist in the organisation of and participate in visits of journalists to Brussels.
- Contribute to social media activities, including input for comments and content, advising on responses, and using digital tools for listening, analysis, and outreach.
- Ensure the daily update and maintenance of the Representation's website.
- Provide administrative support to the Head of the Press & Media team and the team.
- Manage databases, press and mailing lists.
- Provide assistance in managing calls for tenders/offers.
- Participate in the elaboration of evaluation reports, periodical checks, controls, and audits.
Required Experience
Two years of professional experience in information and communication or related support functions. Relevant experience and track record in at least two of the following areas: management of social media and other digital channels and platforms; editing of visual content for social media and other digital platforms; production and publishing of content for traditional and new media; management of a website; On-Camera Talent; maintaining regular contacts with journalists, stakeholders and external partners; media monitoring & intelligence; drafting and editing communication materials; organisation of various events, stakeholders’ and VIP visits and meetings.
Qualifications
A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma OR a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
