Overview

The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking to establish a roster of qualified candidates for the position of Supply Chain Associate. This role involves providing operational coordination and administrative support for supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with standard processes and effective execution of sourcing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations and provide administrative support as a Supply Chain representative to assigned field offices.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers for purchases, cash transfers, and logistics services.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to negotiations with suppliers.
• Manage and resolve incidents related to delivered goods and services.
• Coordinate food transfer requests and dispatches to implementing partners.
• Supervise inventory management processes.
• Support training and guidance to implementing partners and points of sale.
• Monitor implementing partners and points of sale for compliance with logistics guidelines.
• Track reconciliation, invoicing, advances, and payments related to voucher redemption and logistics services.
• Compile, analyze, and consolidate information for reports, market studies, and value chain analyses.
• Support the collection and organization of information for logistics diagnostics.
• Provide technical assistance to field offices on proposal formulation, program costing, transfer modalities, and associated logistics processes.
• Apply emergency preparedness and response practices.

Required Experience

• Minimum six (6) years of experience in administrative areas with progressive responsibilities, including a minimum of three (3) years of experience in local procurement of products, goods, and services and/or in logistics operations: transport, inventory management, and contracting processes.
• Experience in sourcing, administering, and supervising contracting and supplier evaluation processes.
• Experience in budget monitoring and compliance and report preparation.
• Desirable experience in conducting market studies or macroeconomic research.
• Desirable experience working with humanitarian organizations in supply chain, logistics, or procurement.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education cycle.
• University degree in industrial engineering, administration, finance, economics, accounting, or related fields.
