Overview

The Senior Programme Support Associate will be responsible for supporting the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of IOM programmes in Ireland, contributing to programme development, donor engagement, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the implementation of IOM Ireland projects.
  • Coordinate and analyse programme Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) information.
  • Coordinate the preparation of and review donor reports, programme updates, briefing notes, and other related documentation.
  • Coordinate programme data collection, analysis, and information management processes.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on migration trends, and emerging priorities in Ireland.
  • Contribute to the design and development of programmes, project proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
  • Identify funding opportunities, analyse donor priorities, support donor engagement efforts, and contribute to resource mobilisation strategies.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with donor counterparts, government authorities, diplomatic missions, Implementing Partners (IPs), and other relevant institutions.
  • Support the preparation of communication and visibility materials, coordinate donor visits and briefings, and contribute to staff capacity-building initiatives.
  • Participate in relevant inter-agency forums, technical working groups, conferences, and meetings.
  • Undertake duty travel as required.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant professional experience; or, High School diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in project development and project management, humanitarian and migration-related activities, complex project implementation, budget drafting, research, report writing, liaison with governments and international agencies;
  • Experience with project planning, scheduling and deployment of resources, and evaluation and assessment;
  • Experience in liaising with government authorities, national/international institutions and donors.
  • Experience in supporting results-based project development and reporting, technical writing and editing, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector;
  • Work experience in donor relations and grant management for specific donors of IOM’s interest;
  • Experience in working with international culturally diverse teams;
  • Confirmed experience in donor report writing in humanitarian and/or development settings; and,
  • Experience with Results Based Management approach and other strategic planning approaches.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, International Development, Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or, High School diploma.
