Overview

The Fellows Programme aims to attract individuals with advanced technical knowledge and experience to contribute their expertise to FAO's work while fulfilling their specialized learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Perform functions specified in the Terms of Reference (TOR) prepared by the hiring office.

Required Experience

At least two years of relevant working or research experience in one of the fields of the Organization.

Qualifications

Graduate or post-graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) or be enrolled in a PhD programme in a “bona fide” educational institution at the time of application or recent graduate. Higher educational qualifications must be obtained from an institution accredited/recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).

Working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish).
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of a second FAO language will be considered an asset.

Up to a maximum of 11 months

FAO does not provide remuneration to fellows. Fellows should be fully sponsored by an external entity.
