Overview

To contribute to the effectiveness of WFP Sri Lanka's programmes by coordinating reporting processes, supporting resource mobilization and partnership activities, and providing analytical inputs for decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of reporting and information management activities.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation, analysis, and consolidation of information.
  • Prepare analytical reports, briefing notes, situation updates, dashboards, and donor visibility products.
  • Coordinate inputs for corporate and donor reporting exercises.
  • Monitor reporting timelines and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of reporting tools, templates, guidance materials, and information management processes.
  • Support partnership development efforts by conducting partner mapping, stakeholder analysis, and background research.
  • Coordinate the preparation of donor proposals, concept notes, presentations, partner briefings, and visibility materials.
  • Facilitate coordination between programme, RAM, communications, supply chain, finance, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor donor commitments, visibility requirements, and reporting obligations.
  • Analyze programme performance information and identify trends, risks, and lessons learned.
  • Contribute to knowledge management initiatives by maintaining reporting repositories, documenting best practices, and promoting effective information sharing.
  • Represent the unit in internal coordination meetings and provide technical advice.
Required Experience
  • One-year postgraduate professional experience, or First University degree with additional 8 years of related work experience and:
  • Experience coordinating programme reporting and performance monitoring activities.
  • Experience in information management, performance reporting, or knowledge management.
  • Experience supporting partnership development, donor engagement, or resource mobilization activities.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing data management, reporting, and analytical tools.
  • Experience working within the UN system, international NGOs, development organizations, government institutions, or similar environments, with exposure to reporting, partnerships, communications, programme management, or coordination functions being highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications

Advanced University degree in a relevant functional area such as Communications, Information Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, International Relations or related fields with one year postgraduate professional experience, or First University degree with additional 8 years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses is highly desirable.

Fluency in oral and written English.
Languages Preferred
Fluency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is desirable for coordination with national counterparts.
