Overview
Support WFP Nutrition in delivering high-quality written products, including speeches, talking points, briefing notes, reports, web and communications content. The role will support the drafting, editing and updating of materials to the highest standards while contributing to the work of the Nutrition Strategic Engagement Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, editing and quality assurance of high-quality nutrition content, including speeches, talking points, briefing notes, reports, opinion pieces, fact sheets, web content and other strategic communications materials.
- Translate complex technical and programmatic nutrition content into clear, compelling and accessible narratives tailored to a range of audiences.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of nutrition content through rigorous fact-checking and close collaboration with technical experts.
- Increase the use of storytelling for internal and external audiences.
- Strengthen writing and storytelling capacity across the Nutrition Service through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Define and produce content outlines, concept notes and communication products.
- Support strategic partnerships and engagement efforts by developing evidence-based advocacy content.
- Perform other related duties, including support to outreach, advocacy and partner-facing communications, as required.
Required Experience
At least 6 years of relevant professional experience with developing, writing and producing speeches for senior leadership, editorial reports, policy documents, copy and corporate communications products on the topic of nutrition and food security to engage various audiences, with a special focus on donors and partners.
Qualifications
Advanced University degree in English, English Literature, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses.
