Overview
Internship opportunity to assist with operational and administrative activities of the Labour Mobility, Social Inclusion and Resettlement Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the policy and operational context of resettlement and family reunification in the Netherlands.
- Support the project team in the implementation of family reunification and resettlement activities.
- Support engagement, coordination and communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the review, analysis and summarization of policy documents and reports.
- Attend internal and external meetings and support the preparation of meeting notes.
- Support logistical, administrative and record-management tasks.
- Assist with the handling of information requests and inquiries.
- Contribute to the development of new project ideas by supporting background research.
- Support communication and visibility efforts by assisting with the preparation of communication materials.
- Support any other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Less than two years of relevant working experience.
- Experience with writing project proposals or fundraising is an advantage.
- Experience with an international organization or NGO desirable.
- Experience and/or proven interest in migration issues.
Qualifications
- A degree or current studies in a relevant field, such as International Relations, Political Science, Migration Studies, European Studies, Law, Sociology, Public Administration or another related discipline.
- Applicants must be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent), or enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or have graduated with a university degree and commence the internship within one year of graduation.
- Applicants must be between 20 and 36 years of age.
