Overview

The People & Culture Associate (Onboarding) manages administrative and transactional HR tasks for efficient implementation of HR functions, ensuring compliance with UNICEF HR rules and regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all HR processes are administered accurately, in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve complex and high financial value HR transactions to ensure they meet policy standards and requirements.
  • Ensure all HR processes are completed within the specified Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and timelines
  • Identify areas for enhancing efficiency and continuous improvement and knowledge management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Required Experience

A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience required. A completed Bachelor's degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three (3) years of related experience. A Master's degree may replace an additional two (2) years.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary education is required. Professional and/or university courses related to the field of work are highly desirable.

Fluency in English both verbal and written is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is considered an asset. University level courses in human resources and business administration are desirable. Previous hands-on experience in planning, organizing and delivering administrative support services is highly desirable. Work experience with a development organization is an asset. Knowledge of UN/UNICEF'S rules, regulations and procedures is considered an asset. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
