Overview
This role involves enhancing fiduciary financial management capacity for World Bank-financed projects in Türkiye. The consultant will work closely with senior financial management specialists to ensure policies and procedures are applied across various project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial management assessments on new projects.
- Assess financial management capacities of project implementing units.
- Assess risks and risk mitigation strategies.
- Attend project negotiation.
- Participate in project preparation and appraisal missions.
- Conduct financial management supervision of active projects.
- Monitor and review interim financial reports.
- Coordinate annual audits and review audit reports and management letters.
- Guide PIUs on FM arrangements.
- Develop and review financial management action plans.
- Participate in World Bank missions.
- Prepare fiduciary related reports and documents.
- Provide advice to country authorities for strengthening financial management.
- Participate in Country Portfolio Performance Reviews.
- Provide technical inputs on public financial management issues.
- Deliver other tasks as required.
Required Experience
At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting or auditing in a public or private sector-setting.
Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., accounting, finance, or public policy).
