Overview
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning Officer to support the implementation of MEAL plans and ensure data quality for a protection-focused project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the MEAL Manager to implement MEAL plans and ensure real-time analytics.
- Assist in developing analysis dashboards against project indicators.
- Ensure data is collected and entered into the data management system regularly.
- Validate data for completeness, correctness, and consistency.
- Review and develop appropriate formats, data collection tools, and systems.
- Carry out regular participatory project monitoring.
- Prepare and submit regular monitoring reports.
- Support program teams to track progress of project activities.
- Help program teams make data-informed decisions.
- Assist in the design, collection, and analysis of data for assessments, surveys, and evaluations.
- Conduct data quality assessments and audits.
- Represent MEAL during program review meetings.
- Facilitate program teams to develop and adopt quality standards.
- Conduct surveys and studies to assess intervention relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and impacts.
- Promote accountability and ensure compliance with IRCWAY policies and global Humanitarian Standards.
- Ensure proactive and reactive feedback collection from beneficiaries.
- Maintain a proper filing system of monitoring and data-related documents.
- Lead documentation of lessons learned from program implementation.
- Coordinate with program leads, partners, and communities in documenting lessons learned.
- Document, finalize, and share Case Studies, Human Interest Stories, and Most Significant Change Stories.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
Minimum 03-year work experience with an NGO/INGO or in offices. At least 2 years of relevant experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), preferably in development/humanitarian sectors. Proven working experience in Monitoring, Evaluations, Accountability, and awareness about CHS. Demonstrated strong monitoring and evaluation skills, including planning/participating in evaluations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Preference to candidates with degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
