Overview

The Protection Case Management Supervisor will lead the delivery and quality assurance of protection case management services across project target districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The position ensures adherence to IRC protection case management standards and SOPs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor protection case workers, ensuring adherence to Global Protection Case management guidelines, SOPs, and survivor-centred principles.
  • Conduct regular individual and group case review meetings; assign and monitor caseloads.
  • Review case files and action plans for accuracy, quality, and completeness; provide feedback and corrective guidance.
  • Ensure appropriate, timely, and rights-based support for all protection cases.
  • Apply and reinforce Do No Harm and confidentiality principles.
  • Conduct post-service interviews and periodic case audits.
  • Ensure case workers accurately apply established referral pathways.
  • Maintain active liaison with relevant departments and service providers.
  • Identify gaps in available services and referral networks.
  • Support case conferencing for complex or high-risk cases.
  • Coordinate with Community Mobilizers for case identification and referral.
  • Support community-level protection risk identification.
  • Oversee accurate and timely entry of case management data into the IRC Case Management Database.
  • Produce and share regular case management progress reports.
  • Ensure all case files and digital records are stored securely and confidentially.
  • Support the MEAL team with data verification, case file audits, and learning documentation.
  • Identify capacity gaps among caseworkers and develop and deliver targeted coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
  • Lead regular team meetings.
  • Participate in protection training and capacity building events.
  • Ensure staff wellbeing is prioritised.
Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of field experience in protection case management, preferably in an emergency or displacement context. Experience working with vulnerable communities in KP is a strong advantage. Proven supervisory experience, including managing and mentoring caseworkers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in social sciences, law, human rights, or a related field. Postgraduate training in protection, case management, or psychosocial support is an advantage.
